IT was hard to ignore the excitement as the parade for Bromsgrove Carnival began to start.
Headed by a fire engine and firefighters, sounding their horn to let people know they were coming, the procession started.
As if an alert was needed. Bromsgrove town crier Kevin Ward and a samba band did a spectacular job of letting everyone know the celebrations had started.
Hundreds of people then proceeded down High Street to applause, and massive amounts of dancing from small children.
Everyone is now hoping the rain holds of for what promises to be an amazing day.
