POLICE are appealing for information after two teenage boys were mugged in a Rednal car park.

Between 4.15pm and 4.30pm on Monday, July 18 the two victims were walking through Oak Tree car park on Lickey Road when they were approached by an unknown man.

The man asked for the time and one of the boys took his phone out of his pocket to check.

The stranger then grabbed the phone and demanded the other boy hand his over.

He left the scene on foot back down the car park towards a dark coloured vehicle.

The man was described as mixed race, around 5ft 11 and of a skinny build, with short black curly hair.

He was wearing a dark coloured t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms and was described as having no notable accent.

Anyone who witnessed the crime, or has any information that may help police investigations, is urged to contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 559s.
