THE fascinating history of teddy bears will be brought to life at the Clent History Society’s first meeting of the year on Thursday, March 23.
Dr Gillian White, who is curator of the Warwickshire Museum, will lead a talk on ‘The Hugely Huggable History of the Teddy Bear’ from 8pm in Clent Parish Hall.
A spokesman said: "She will be telling us largely about the history of the last century and how the humble bear is linked to some of the most influential people of the times.
"This is a fascinating story, not to be missed."
Tea and coffee will be served at the end of the meeting. Members and non-members are both welcome, with admission for non-members costing £2.50.
