FORMER students and staff of Sidemoor First School are being invited to chat to pupils about their career, to inspire children to know what they want to do when they grow up.

The school will hold the day as part of its ‘aspirations week’ for children on Thursday, April 27, coinciding with celebrations to mark 10 years since its Perryfields Road site opened.

Deputy Head Richard Watkins said: “We are looking for former staff, pupils or members of the community who are willing to come in for all or part of the day to talk to children about their careers.

“We hope that this will be an exciting day that will inspire our children to know what they would like to do when they grow up.

“We don’t mind what you are able to do to help. If you can spare a full day or five minutes, a multimedia presentation or a short talk, every bit helps.”

The school is also hosting a special celebration on the afternoon of Friday, April 28, to mark 10 years since the school’s new building was open.

School leavers and anybody who was in Year 4 in 2007 are also invited to attend.
