CATSHILL public library will close for a week at the end of the May due to urgent and essential maintenance work to the water system.

Adjustments will be made to ensure that customers are not charged for items due back during its closure between May 29 to June 5.

Library manager Nicki Hitchcock said: "We apologise for any inconvenience resulting from the temporary closure of Catshill Library.

“The works being carried out are essential and will disrupt the water supply to the library.

"For the duration of the closure, customers can visit our libraries in nearby Bromsgrove and Rubery, or use the library’s website worcestershire.gov.uk/libraries to renew or reserve books, search the catalogue or access our e-resources.

“We thank our customers for their patience and look forward to seeing them again on June 5."
