POLICE cars surrounded a Bromsgrove pub on Sunday night, following reports a wanted criminal was inside.
West Mercia Police received a phone call from a member of the public at around 10.45pm on June 18.
Several officers were sent to the scene and surrounded the Duke of York pub in Broad Street, in an attempt to catch the crook.
A spokesman for the force said: "West Mercia Police attempted to locate and arrest an outstanding person. It was reported that this individual was seen at a premises on Broad Street, Bromsgrove.
"Upon police attendance the individual was not located and no arrest was made."
Police are yet to confirm the identity of the wanted person an officers are no longer planning to issue a wanted appeal.
