IT was a busy evening for Bromsgrove firefighters after they attended two motorway crashes last night (Friday, July 21).
The first took place at about 5.20pm, between junction 1 and 2 of the M42, where three cars were damaged by debris after a single car crash.
Crews from both Bromsgrove and Redditch fire stations were alerted to the incident which saw one casualty treated at the scene.
A few hours later, a crew from Bromsgrove attended a smash on the M5 southbound between junctions 4A and 5, alongside firefighters from Droitwich Fire Station and West Midlands Ambulance Service.
The crash took place at about 9.30pm and fortunately no people were trapped.
Following both of the motorway incidents, the fire crews made sure the vehicles involved and the scenes were safe.
