KIND-HEARTED staff at a Bromsgrove care home have donated specialised equipment to a special educational needs school.

The team at Cofton Park Manor Home, Lickey Road, have donated ‘stand aids’ to Chadsgrove School in Catshill.

The equipment means the children can now stand whilst they are exercising.

Home manager Kerry Hill, who has worked in care for more than 25 years, said: “The school does such amazing work with the children who are at the heart of everything they do.

“We hope the equipment makes a difference, and hopefully, we can do so much more to build links with the school and the rest of this thriving community.”

Physical support team lead Rachel Burton from Chadsgrove School said: “The children are enjoying this new opportunity provided by the ‘stand aid’ to allow them to carry out a supported standing transfer, something they previously haven't been able to do in school.

“We are hoping with regular use, their muscles will get stronger, and this will help support their physical development.

“Thank you so much to the team at Cofton Park Manor Home for thinking of our school, we are extremely grateful.

"So many pupils will and are already benefiting from using it.”
