A TOTAL of 140 different beers and 50 ciders are on offer at this year’s Bromsgrove Beer and Cider Festival.

This year the event will take place at Bromsgrove Rugby Club on Finstall Road from Thursday, June 29 to July 1.

A spokesperson for the Bromsgrove Beer and Cider Festival said: “This year we will have 140 different beers, sourced from local breweries as well as breweries from around the country.

“The cask and key-keg beers on offer will be a mix of different styles including Milds, Bitters and Golden Ales as well as Stouts and Porters.

“There will also be 50 different ciders, perries and fruit-flavoured ciders from the UK’s great cider and perry-producing counties.

“In addition, there will be a selection of food vendors to complete your festival experience.”

The event will be raising money for Avoncroft Museum which is reflected in this year’s logo for the festival with the museum’s windmill taking centre stage.

A spokesperson for the museum said: “It’s great that the Bromsgrove Beer Festival has chosen Avoncroft Museum as their charity for this year’s festival!

“We have so many stories connected with the ancient craft of beer, cider and perry making, and it’s good to bring these stories right up to date with modern local producers.

“And with museums like ours struggling like never before, all funds raised for us during the festival will help us keep our doors open, look after our heritage, and keep telling these stories for generations to come.”
