An epic charity golf day which saw 54 holes of golf played – totalling 15 miles of walking – took place at a Droitwich golf club.
Twenty-three players were coming together to play all three rounds in one day at Gaudet Luce Golf Club in aid of Dementia UK today (July 25).
Five teams of four members each including a lady golfer, junior, senior players and a team of special guest non-members took part. They ranged in age from 13 to 72.
Each 18 holes were in a different fun format with teams and sections competing against each other for added interest. The day started at 6.30am and ended at 9pm.
It was organised by Club Captain Chris Hobbs.
A spokesperson said: “Chris is very proud of so many diverse people giving up their time for this special cause.
“This inclusive day was challenging for all, but a fantastic cause as anyone who has been touched by dementia will know the awfulness of diseases such as Alzheimer’s.”
