THE best and worst GP surgeries in Bromsgrove have been revealed by this year’s patient survey.

The GP survey is an independent survey run on behalf of NHS England which shows how people feel about their GP practice.

The survey was completed between January and April this year.

A total of 24,064 questionnaires were sent to patients registered with Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care System, and 9,690 forms were returned – representing a response rate of 40 per cent.

Patients are asked questions about their overall experience; how easy it was to get through on the phone and whether an in-person or remote appointment was given.

This year’s results show the best-rated surgery for overall experience in Bromsgrove is The Glebeland Surgery where 96 per cent of patients said their overall experience was good.

This is above the Herefordshire and Worcestershire ICS average of 76 per cent and above the national average of 71.3 per cent.

The second highest rated in Bromsgrove for overall experience is St John’s Surgery with 90 per cent of patients saying their overall experience is good.

However, at the other end of the scale, 68 per cent of respondents at Churchfields Surgery are happy with their experience.

And 81 per cent of patients at Barnt Green Surgery said their experience was good.

Lynda Dando, director of primary care for NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire said: “This is yet again, another set of encouraging results for Herefordshire and Worcestershire practices, who continue to work to improve services for patients in ever-challenging circumstances.

“All practices across our two counties have worked tirelessly to continue to provide services and care to their patients whilst continuing to deliver Covid booster programmes throughout 2022 and this dedication can be seen in the positive results of this year’s survey."
