The Feeding Trust, a new UK charity based in Waseley, will receive a £6K grant from Tesco that will enable them to provide vital feeding therapy for children and young people with Paediatric Feeding Disorders (PFD).

The Trust's goal is to help these children and young people develop a lifelong healthy relationship with food through specialist feeding therapy, as well as empower families and communities through education and research.

Natalie Raven Morris, founder of The Feeding Trust, expressed her gratitude for the grant, stating that it will allow the charity to help more children and young people and make a bigger difference in the community by reducing the barriers to accessing the much-needed services and support they provide.

In an effort to support children across the UK, Tesco has introduced a £5 million grant programme called Stronger Starts in partnership with Groundwork UK.

This programme aims to give children a stronger start in life by providing grants to schools and children's groups for nutritious food and healthy activities that support their physical health and mental wellbeing.

Tesco's Stronger Starts initiative, previously known as Tesco Bags of Help and Tesco Community Grants, has already awarded over £100 million to more than 50,000 projects across Britain.

Jason Tarry, Tesco UK CEO, emphasized the importance of helping schools and children's groups access the necessary resources and food to give children a stronger start in life.

Graham Duxbury, Groundwork's UK Chief Executive, also highlighted the significance of schools and other groups supporting young people in ensuring they have a healthy start to the day and access to services for physical activity and mental health.

He expressed his delight in being able to prioritize these activities alongside Tesco through the Stronger Starts programme.
