A Worcestershire festival has raised a record-breaking amount of money for a hospice in Bromsgrove.

Orchardfest, a family friendly event in its seventh year that took place on August 11 and August 12, raised £27,649 for the Primrose Hospice and Family Support Centre.

The event saw hundreds of people gather at Puddle Wharf Farm in Bromsgrove for a weekend filled with music, dancing and workshops to raise the vital funds.

Event organiser and owner of Puddle Wharf Farm Dave Morgan said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved including all those who attended and those who donated their time and prizes, Kelly Plant Hire and Vernier Springs & Pressings who sponsored the event and of course all the fantastic musicians.

“This is a fundraising event that with all your enthusiasm and support just keeps getting better every year. With 14 hours of non-stop live music and fun, and the absolutely fantastic atmosphere created, it makes this a win-win for all. You are all making this one of the best music festivals in the area.”

Bromsgrove Advertiser:

Primrose Hospice is an independent charity that relies on the support of individuals and businesses to help it raise the £1.95 million needed each year to continue its services.

The hospice has thanked Mr Morgan and his team for their support with the money raised helping to cover the costs of running the hospice for seven days so more patients living with life-limiting illnesses and their families can be supported in the future.

Mr Morgan said: “It is so important to help this local charity as no-one knows when they might need to call on it for help. My final thank you must go to Lucy and her Primrose Team who now jointly run this event and do a phenomenal job.”

Orchardfest will be return to Bromsgrove next year with tickets going on sale in 2024.
