Two Droitwich care home staff members will run 30 miles this month to fundraise for charity.

Lisa Dews, home manager at Woodland View Care Home, and front of house manager Carla Sidaway are taking up the '30 Miles in November' challenge in a bid to support Birmingham Children's Hospital, which caters to 100,000 sick children every year.

Lisa, whose child was previously treated by this hospital said: "They do fantastic work and offer incredible care to families in the area."

"With our residents cheering us on, we know we can tackle this challenge head on to support this very deserving charity."

Carla also voiced her enthusiasm. She said: "Our Woodland View family is forever eager to give back to our community – if you see us running, don’t forget to wave!"

Rosemary Harries, one of the many supporters and residents at the care home said: "I think this is for a wonderful cause.

"I wish both Lisa and Carla the best of luck completing their challenge.

"I’m sure they’ll do really well!
