The Repair Café is set to return to Bromsgrove this month to help give old items a new lease of life.
Residents are being encouraged to bring along their faulty Christmas presents, winter heaters and woolly jumpers for a much-needed makeover this new year.
A spokesperson for the Repair Café said: "Statistics on successful repairs are collated by Worcestershire County Council's waste prevention officer and last year 290 items were given a new lease of life.
"Our 20 repairers and 10 other volunteers have recharged their batteries and are raring to go on keeping household items out of landfill."
The Repair Café will be open from 2pm until 5pm on Saturday, January 6 at All Saints Hall, Burcot Lane.
The team are working on a system to reduce queuing but recommended residents plan a café stop whilst they wait for electrical items.
The group are also looking for someone to lead the team by organising supplies and volunteer helpers one Saturday per month we well as being on the lookout for more repairers.
They particularly need those who can help repair bikes and mechanical items as well as those with woodwork and sewing experience.
