The community are invited to meet some friendly faces this year at a Bromsgrove social group set on tackling loneliness and improving mental health.

The Oddfellows meet up regularly for activities that are perfect for older and retired people who would like to socialise with others in the area.

The "Cuppa and Chat" group hosts guests on the third Monday of every month at Bromsgrove Golf Centre between 11am and 12.30pm.

The group meetings started on Monday, January 15 this year and aim to encourage people to get out of the house and spend time with others.

A spokesperson for the group said: "We’ll treat all current members to a free tea, coffee or soft drink and offer the same level of hospitality to non-members attending for their first visit.

"Why not come and meet some new friendly faces in 2024. A warm welcome awaits you all."
