POLICE are investigating a robbery in Bromsgrove in which the victims were threatened by two men including one carrying a crossbow.

Two men, aged 20 and 21 were sitting in a black Renault Clio in Churchill Road, Catshill with two young women, when they were approached by two unknown men.

One of them knocked on the window with a small handheld crossbow that he was carrying. The other had a ball bearing gun or air weapon which he was pointing at the vehicle.

The men were made to get out, one at the time, get on the floor and empty their pockets while both weapons were being pointed at them.

The offenders, whose faces were covered with a balaclava and a motorcycle helmet, ran off down Churchill Road and onto Wildmoor Lane. Throughout the incident, which happened between 11.20pm and 11.30pm on April 22, neither offender spoke and used gestures to communicate with the victims.

The bike helmet was dark coloured, with orange and yellow on it. The visor was dark.

Items stolen from one victim included a Nokia mobile phone, worth £400, a brown leather Ted Baker wallet, £10 cash, a bank card, a passport and a packet of cigarettes. Nothing was stolen from the other victim.
