Dudley Town 3 Bromsgrove Rovers 3

Two goals from new signing Mark Owen were not enough for Bromsgrove to go through.

Owen, signed from Evesham on Thursday, scored two cracking goals on 81 and 83 minutes and it looked like this had won it for the Greens.

But poor defending let in Dudley substitute Jake Morgan at the far post in inuury time and he headed in a long free kick from Bekir Halil.

Rovers should have cruised to victory after dominating the first half but only having one goal to show for it.

That came through Gary Ray after Danny Campbell's original shot hit the post with the goal at his mercy.

The goal came on 17 minutes, and just after it, Cambell again hit the post with a shot before Ray was booked for a tug on Mensah Kinch's shirt.

Owen headed into the ground and over the bar on 42 minutes as Rovers were unlucky to go in only one up.

But the home side hit back after the break, Kinch providing a cross for Danny Ashton to head in on 49 minutes.

This was Dudley's period of pressure, Chris Busby also going close before they equalised on 54 courtesy of poor Rovers defending.

Marvin Nisbett was given two chances to shoot, the first was scuffed but the Matt Gardner fell over, allowing him a second chance and he made no mistake.

Owen's goals were lovely half volleys and looked to have sent Bromsgrove through to a preliminary round game with Stourbridge but in the end it was all back to the Victoria Ground for a Tuesday night replay.
