Cancer charity's mobile service to visit Bromsgrove
1:00pm Tuesday 1st May 2012 in News
A CANCER charity’s mobile service is set to visit Bromsgrove this May.
The team of support specialists from Macmillan Cancer Support will be visiting High Street offering free support and information to anyone either living with cancer themselves, or who knows a relative or friend who has been diagnosed with cancer.
During the visit, on Thursday, May 10, the mobile team is prepared to welcome anyone on board with questions or concerns about cancer for a confidential chat, and will be handing out information leaflets.
No appointment is required, and all information provided is free.
John Galfin, one of Macmillan’s specialists, said: “As treatments improve, more and more people are living with cancer in their daily lives.
"They need more than medical help, they also need practical, emotional and financial support, which the mobile team can provide."
The mobile unit will be open between 10am-3pm.
Anyone unable to visit the centre on the day can speak to a specialist by calling Macmillan for free on 0808 808 00 00.
