A ROWING team from a town gym are set to take part in a charity challenge.
Five members of the rowing team at the David Lloyd gym, in Slideslow Drive, are taking part in the extreme ergo-row challenge, where each member will row 100km, or 62.5 miles, in one sitting.
The team, who are training for the June 14 challenge, are hoping to raise around £3,000 for the County Air Ambulance.
“It will take approximately ten hours to complete and will result in a very sore bottom. It is not a relay. Each member will row the full distance.”
