People planning bonfires urged to alert fire fighters after false alarm for Redditch crews
WORCESTERSHIRE firefighters have issued an appeal to people planning controlled burning to let them know in advance.
Redditch fire crews were yesterday dispatched to reports of clouds of black smoke behind a property on the A442 near Inkberrow.
The incident turned out to be a controlled blaze, prompting a message from Hereford and Worcester Fire Control urging people planning bonfires to contact them by calling 03333 990043.
