A PLAYFUL pub in Droitwich Spa town centre is getting into the spooky spirit this Halloween with a full scale transformation.

The Old Cock Inn on Friar Street, which hosts Friar Fest each summer, is being carefully filled with cobwebs and curiosities, some sudden shocks, and it’s very own ghost, all to help celebrate Halloween.

This is the third year that landlords Graham Leonard and Stuart Wilcox have decorated the pub for Halloween, and the decorations will be going up from October 26 in preparation for a big Halloween fancy dress party taking place on Saturday, October 31, which is free to attend.

Children will be invited along for an open afternoon from 3-5pm with a children’s Halloween disco and some sweet treats on offer, before the evening kicks off, with local band Hump de Bump performing from 9pm.

Keeping in with the Halloween theme on November 1, the pub is running a special spooky quiz from 8pm.
