A BROMSGROVE burglar was arrested after his fingerprints were found under the window sill of the property he had raided, Worcester Crown Court heard.
Damion Jones had broken into the home of Lucy Williams and Ryan Corrigan in Kempton Court, Catshill, while they were away for a weekend in April.
A tidy search had been carried out and Jones took a £200 television and a £70 pair of hair clippers, said Tim Sapwell, prosecuting.
Jones, 23, of Newbury Close, Catshill, pleaded guilty to the burglary and was given a 18-month community order with 100 hours unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay £270 compensation for the items he had stolen. He had two previous convictions for six offences, including taking a car without consent and handling a stolen laptop computer.
Kevin Grego, for Jones, said he regretted his stupid crime. He was normally a respected member of the community with a reputation for hard work.
But Judge Patrick Thomas QC described it as a "mean" offence against two people he knew.
