Top comedians support Stoke Association campaign

SOME of the nations top comedians are taking part in new campaign for a charity with town headquarters.

Top comedians including Paul O’Grady, Mel Giedroyc and one-liner king Tim Vine are among those backing the Stroke Association's Not Just a Funny Turn Campaign, organised during Action on Stroke Month.

The association's headquarters, the multi-million pound Life After Stroke Centre, is based in Church Lane, Bromsgrove.

A new video is being released to highlight the campaign, showing the famous faces sharing their favourite jokes.

The campaign is about raising awareness about mini-strokes and that thousands of people put themselves at risk by dismissing their symptoms as "just a funny turn".

If mini-strokes are treated in time around 10,000 strokes could be prevented annually, and the NHS and care services could save more than £200m.
