Motorcyclist campaign holding Bromsgrove event this weekend
3:00pm Sunday 11th May 2014 in Local
A CAMPAIGN attempting to try and reduce the number of motorcyclists killed in collisions is holding an event in Bromsgrove this weekend.
The Safer Roads Partnership in Worcestershire has joined forces with Redditch Advanced Motorcylist Group, (RAMG), for the 2014 "THINK BIKE" campaign, targeting both motorcyclists and car drivers with the aim of increasing general awareness and offering additional training to those who want it.
Motorcyclists are being invited to a Riders Skills Day, organised by the campaign, where they can take advantage of a free one hour assessed ride-out with a qualified observer.
The event is being held at Sutton Honda, in Birmingham Road, Marlbrook, between 9am and 5pm this Saturday, May 10.
Anna Higgins, from Safer Roads Partnership, said “The Safer Roads Partnership works with local partners and motorcycling groups to try and reduce the number of motorcyclists killed and injured in collisions.
"Events aim to help riders improve their skills and be more confident on the roads.
"It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced rider or have just got your first set of wheels, the assessed ride-outs will have something to offer everyone so come along and find out for yourself.”
Assessed rides are available on the day, on a first-come-first-served basis, but bikers are advised to pre-book to avoid disappointment.
Riders can pre-book by calling Brent Prince on 07974 215401 or email email@example.com.
All riders taking part will need a full license.
