A BROMSGROVE musician is through to the final of a national competition.

The 12 under 19s finalists for the fifth annual Rock the House competition have been announced, and among them is Mirron Webb from Bromsgrove.

Rock the House is the largest ever Parliamentary competition, and raises awareness of the importance of protecting intellectual property rights among legislators and the general public.

Winners share £1,500 worth of Yamaha gift vouchers, Orange Amplification gift bags and CR60c Orange Amps, slots to perform at live music venues and ISM membership.

Bromsgrove MP, and Culture Secretary Sajid Javid said: "I am delighted that Mirron has come this far in the competition. I wish him every success both in the Rock the House and in his future carer.

“Bromsgrove has a long history of supporting artistic talent and I hope the whole local community will get behind Mirron to wish him well.”
