A BROMSGROVE-based communications agency is giving a teenager the chance to become an apprentice.

Superdream, in Stoke Prior, is on the hunt for a dedicated candidate with bags of enthusiasm to join its expanding team as a business administration apprentice in its media department.

The successful candidate will assist the agency’s media planning, in an advertising-focused role working for a wide range of clients across a number of sectors.

The position includes a variety of responsibilities from researching media opportunities and interacting with publishers, to dealing with artwork deadlines and collating post campaign reports.

The agency is offering the role in partnership with education provider Creative Alliance, the leading independent learning provider in the cultural and creative sector in the West Midlands.

Since its launch in 2012 the firm has developed young talent having already taken on five apprentices and interns, with many progressing into permanent jobs within the company.

One of the apprentices Andy Bates, 19, went on to become a full-time junior web developer and IT technician.

“The team at Superdream have been really supportive and having the opportunity to gain invaluable on-the-job experience was brilliant," he said.

"I was still at college when I saw the apprenticeship advertised and thought it was a great way to get my foot in the door.

Jason Manning, managing director of Superdream, said: “In today’s tough job market, we know it’s harder than ever to secure that all-important first job. That’s why we offer young people the chance to prove that you don’t have to go to university to achieve a fantastic career in the creative industry."

The year's apprenticeship, which is a paid position, offers plenty of scope for future career development.

The closing date to apply is Friday, March 6.
