WORK has started this week on improvements to the pavilion building in Sanders Park.

The improvements will see more space created with indoor and outdoor seating installed in the cafe area, while the toilets are being relocated and improved.

The cafe is currently still operating on winter opening hours, and the work should be completed by the end of March in time for summer opening hours to begin, although in the meantime, visitors will have to use the disabled toilets while work takes place.

Bromsgrove District councillor Mark Bullivant, holds the portfolio for parks. He said: “This park is one of the jewels of Bromsgrove’s crown and these works will only add to this wonderful facility.

“We have tried to keep disruption to a minimum but please bear with us while we make these improvements and get the park ready for our busy summer season which will boast a programme of events.”
