KIND hearted residents in Longbridge have helped raise hundreds of pounds and bring a smile to youngsters faces in the process.
Regeneration specialist St Modwen joined forces with its contractor for the town centre Morgan Sindall, to collect Easter eggs for patients at Birmingham Children's Hospital and Acorns Children's Hospice.
Collection boxes were placed in Sainsbury’s, American-style diner Celebz and The Cambridge Hungry Horse pub as well as St. Modwen’s head office at Park Point.
St Modwen also pledged before the collection to donate £1 for every egg collected, to both Birmingham Children's Hospital charity, and Acorns.
Residents impressively donated 800 eggs, so more than £800 is now being donated to support the work of the organisations.
