THE Orchestra of St John (OSJ) are set to wow audiences with the largest scale musical production St John's Church has ever seen.
On Saturday, April 30 at 7.30pm, more than 150 instrumentalists and vocalists promise to take visitors on an emotional roller coaster with classics such as Dies Irae and Lux Eterna.
OSJ's Alastair Moseley said: "The critically acclaimed Orchestra of St John in Bromsgrove gives one Choral Concert each season, and this year we are pulling out all the stops to perform what is without doubt one of the greatest and best-loved choral works of all time – Verdi’s ‘Requiem’. This work, which is almost a staged opera with four soloists, large orchestra and double choir, is Giuseppe Verdi’s setting of the Requiem Mass."
Tickets can be purchased in advance for £10 at artrix.co.uk or in person at Artrix on Slideslow Drive.
Visitors can also purchase tickets on the door for £12. Children and students are free to attend.
