BROMSGROVE folk are being encouraged to come and take part in this year's annual Dodford Show which takes place on Saturday, September 3.

They want as many people as possible to try their luck by entering some of their wares at this year's competition.

The show, which is organised by Dodford Gardening Club and Women's Institute is open to all amateur growers, bakers, preservers, flower arrangers and crafters who would like to enter, whether they be experts or complete novices.

Exhibits are invited for a wide range of classes ranging from fruit, vegetables, flowers, cookery, preserves, wine, handicrafts and eggs. There are also a number of children's classes to enter.

There is an entry fee of £2 for adults regardless of the number of classes, while children can take part for free.

The show takes place at Dodford Village Hall in Priory Road where the registration of entries and the staging of exhibits takes place from 9.30am until 11.45am.

Once the judging has been completed, the show then opens to the public at 3pm when admission is free for all.

Prizes will then be presented and exhibits auctioned off.

There will also be a plant stall on offer while home made cakes and teas will be available.
