A NATIVITY play, festive food and activities for children are among the highlights at Barnt Green’s Christmas lights switch-on and fair on Friday (December 2).
Carols and a short service by Reverend Rob Fieldson of St Andrew’s Church will begin the evening at 4.30pm, before Santa arrives to switch the lights on in Millenium Park at 4.45pm.
A procession will walk down the main high street to St Andrew’s First School – where five lights designed by the children will be turned on – ahead of a nativity play at 5.15pm.
The Christmas Fair begins at 5.30pm and includes a homemade food festival, cartoonist for children, karaoke sessions, Christmas games, pamper rooms and a craft room.
There is also a chance to win £750 of prizes in a £1 lucky dip, as well as two tombolas, while children can also visit Santa in his grotto.
