AN ADVERTISER reporter is set to jump from 10,000 feet, freefalling at speeds of up to 120mph, to help raise cash for the Primrose Hospice.

Tom Davis, 25, will join 14 others for the hospice’s annual skydive ‘Parachute for Primrose’ - the highest number of entrants the hospice has ever had.

Seven will take part at Hinton Airfield, in Brackley, on September 23, with a further eight taking the plunge at Redlands Airfield, in Swindon, on the same day.

Tom said: “Instead of just writing about all the brilliant fundraisers who raise so much money, I thought I would sign up this year and try and raise some cash as well.

“The hospice does such wonderful work providing advice and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families across Bromsgrove and Redditch.

“It relies on donations to keep their services free, so every bit raised makes a huge difference.

“I’m feeling okay about the jump at the minute but I’m sure that will change on the day!

“A record number of people have signed up this year as well which is brilliant, so I’m sure we’ll all help each other through it.”

The hospice, based on St Godwald's Road in Bromsgrove, supports people across north Worcestershire.

Tom hopes to raise a minimum of £395. To donate, visit justgiving.com/tom-primrose.
