A BROMSGROVE-based charity has been boosted by a generous donation by a town firm.
Suppliers, staff, friends and customers of Judd Medical Ltd fund-raised following the death of the firm’s long-standing and popular director, Mary Downes, who lost her battle with lung cancer last December.
Peter Judd, managing director of the firm, explained that they wanted to support a local cancer charity, so the firm decided to purchase £4,000 of medical equipment and donate it to Bromsgrove’s Primrose Hospice.
Mr Judd said: “After collecting all the donations it was decided Judd Medical would like to support a local cancer charity and has chosen the Primrose Hospice to benefit from the equipment, which we hope will assist the hospice in continuing to deliver the highest level of care.”
