THE Barnt Green Support Group of the Macular Disease Society will be celebrating the Society’s 25th anniversary with a day long “Tea for MD” event on Friday, June 29 at the Friends Meeting House, Sandhills Road, Barnt Green.
This will be an awareness and fundraising coffee, or tea, morning from 10.30am, including a visit and talk by Sajid Javid MP at 1pm followed by a group meeting at 1.45pm.
A spokesman said: “Come and meet our friendly group and find out how we cope on a daily basis with central vision loss. MD is a condition which affects half a million people over the age of 50 in the UK.”
