SIXTH form students at Droitwich Spa High School have been working with Wychavon District Council and the Droitwich Young Persons Action Group to produce a website showing the different activities on offer over the summer break.

The website droitwichspasummer4kids.info has already had more than 175 event listed aimed at children in the town over the holidays.

Young people can also follow summer activities on the website’s Twitterfeed @DSS4K, and add their own events to the list of activities.

Flyers advertising the website, also went out to all 12 schools in and around Droitwich before the end of term.

Jonathan Brook, deputy headteacher at Droitwich Spa High School, said: "We had some really appreciate comments when we delivered the flyers. Many of the first and middle schools were appreciative of the work that had gone into the project and its given our sixth formers a real insight into project management and marketing at the same time as working on their web development skills."

Tom Wilson, one of the sixth formers involved, added: "I have really enjoyed working on the project. It's taken a lot of time but hopefully it will help people enjoy the holidays."
