THE Halloween events, due to take place at Forge Mill Museum next Saturday (October 29), have been cancelled due to "lack of interest".
A Redditch Borough Council spokesman announcement the cancellation this morning (Thursday, October 20).
The events on Friday, October 28 and will continue as planned.
Younger visitors, aged eight to 14, can enjoy Halloween games, pumpkin carving and lots of other spooktacular activities between 5.30 to 7pm. Children can turn up in fancy dress and there will be a prize for the best costume.
Younger children are welcome to attend but must be accompanied by an adult.
From 8.30pm to 10pm, people aged 15 and above can take a spooky walk around the haunted museum after hours whilst the Palace Youth Theatre relive ghostly tales and provide a few scares along the way.
Borough Councillor Pat Witherspoon, whose portfolio covers leisure and cultural services, said: "Next weekend looks set to be full of fun, thrills and fancy dress at Forge Mill – no matter what your age.
"These events really do cater for anyone wanting to enjoy some Halloween entertainment so book your tickets quick to make sure you can attend."
Both events cost £5 per person and booking in advance is essential.
