A FORMER England cricket captain will speak in the city.
Ex-batsman Mike Gatting will participate in a charity event at New Road on Thursday July 20 in the Graeme Hick Pavilion.
The event is being hosted by Worcestershire Cricket Board in collaboration with Worcester Police Cricket Club with all profits going to the Worcestershire Cobham Cricket Trust.
Tickets for the night are priced at £25 each and also includes a comedian plus a pie and chip supper.
Mr Gatting played 79 Tests for England between 1978 and 1995 and 92 One Day Internationals.
The evening is being compered by BBC Hereford and Worcester's Dave Bradley and gets underway at 7.30pm.
