AT the May meeting, the branch welcomed Bob Hounslow, national director of membership and operations, accompanied by Paul Baker, area director, and Sqdn Ldr John Tisbury, chairman of Wales, Midlands and South Western Area.
Mr Hounslow gave an interesting and thought provoking presentation about the association’s main aims of giving help and assistance, both practical and financial, to serving and ex-serving RAF personnel and their families.
The vote of thanks was given by Tony Russell of the Worcestershire Air Crew Association.
The meeting continued with discussion about sales of aircraft badges in support of the RAFA Wings Appeal in September, and arrangements for the social trips on the Severn Valley Railway and to Holt Fleet for local WW2 commemorations.
The branch meets at 1pm on the second Friday of each month at Bewell Head Working Mens Club (off Stourbridge Road) in Bromsgrove.
