Well I certainly wont be backing Julie. I've voted Conservatives all my life and would do so again in the next election given an alternative to this cheating lying MP. If she stands again, I will vote for someone else even though am totally disgusted at this present Labour Government. I for one won't forgive and forget the huge sums of money that she claimed for herself and family members no matter how good an MP she was, she's a cheat and I won't vote for her on principle.

if she stands again it will give any morraly corrupt mp the green light to do the same!she has now proved that she is not trustworthy and will not keep the promises she makes at the next election. vote her out and every other mp who milked their expenses while the rest of us struggled to pay the bills

I also find it difficult to believe that Ms Kirkbride thinks the electorate has such a short memory.
Some of us in other parts of the West Midlands would not put up with it!

Scott. do your comments also relate to the corrupt prospective parlimentary candidate whom is decieving the Bromsgrove public by trying to silence constituants who know more, than he would like them to know about his deep dark history which WILL cause doubt of his integrity and intention to the Bromsgrove people. This man preaches honestry and transparency, freedom of speech but appears to be above what he preaches when questioned on his motives. Before other candidates are slated him and his supporters should take a good look at themselves. People that care about Bromsgrove WILL NOT be silenced.

Has mark deliberatly set out to steal from the taxpayer like julie and her husband?take a look at the telegraph website, also take a look at the plazma television she tried to claim for,the £50,000 for an extention for her "growing family"which turned out to be for her brother.

Scott I am well aware of what Julie has done and am not trying to silence you, But what I am saying is look a little wider at the bigger picture that the PPC is painting. What is the history behind him?. Is he fit to stand? ask him some of the questions that he has removed from various sites and then see if you are still willing to stand by him. Look really close or you will be "tarred" with the same brush when the TRUTH comes out about our PPC.

I am disgusted with Kirkbride and her deceitful about-turn. In her letter of resignation she did not even mention the Julie Must Go! campaign and the petition. However, when she felt the campaign had been discredited and lost it's initial impetus and she would not have to face her constituents as directed by David Cameron, she decided she would 'sneak back in'. What reason has she given for her sudden change of mind? None. Although I have always been a Labour voter, I am so disgusted by the present Government that I intended to vote Conservative for the very first time. I now find myself unable to do so as I cannot vote for a person I believe to be a morally corrupt liar.

I am amazed at Kirkbride's supporters telling us how hard she works etc. It is totally beside the point! I want an MP who both works hard AND doesn't fleece the taxpayer. I honestly don't know how anyone could have the arrogance to stand again after what we have discovered about the deliberate misuse of taxpayers' money.

This does NOT mean, however, that I will be duped by anyone posing as an Independent trying to take advantage of the situation. I have refused to be misled by Kirkbride and I certainly won't be misled by some dubious chancer

With reference to the unnamed letter in this week's Advertiser expressing pleasure that Julie Kirkbride has decided to re-stand as Bromsgrove MP, I hope Bromsgrove Conservative Association will end speculation as to whether this is the case or not. The Shadow Chancellor George Osborne spoke very forceably at the Conservative Conference about the need for honesty and restraints in public expenditure if a Conservative government were to be elected and I cannot see how relselecting an MP already tainted with the sleaze brush would fit into this idealogy.

It all started with my moving to Bromsgrove 8 years ago, I was an active Tory member and wanted to continue here in Bromsgrove. I had heard that the district council were in poor shape and had many problems with administration and personalities were also in a state that the opposition leader was not then attuned to the ruling leader of the council.
Still I joined and went to the meeting's, JK was there most of the time and felt she was a very nice woman. I discussed many issues with the leader of the council then, but felt that suggestions were a no go area for some reason and later on realised that there was much power struggling going on with executives, officers, managers etc and that's where the policies were argued out and Stan Francis was not about to be heard.
I attended a meeting whereby Romsley tip was discussed and may be closed, they were not about to tell the public this, so I did through a local newspaper and I was chastised by the leader in that I should not repeat what is said in closed private meetings and was not about to be closed-only 3 months ago 6 years later we here it now is- I replied and said I will not hold back information from the public that should be made public, later I had the feeling I should leave and did just that.
The council tax was then £969.00 in 2002 on E Banded houses, following year it was raised in double figures, subsequent years we have seen it buoyant from 2.5-6.1% the latest was 6.1% if you add the bin tax also, comparing with neighbouring at 1.9% and includes bin collection and weekly at that. I still feel that the Bromsgrove council administration throughout is still very iffy, especially with the latest ploy of party political moves to join Redditch and Bromsgrove with personal information that any election candidate would die for, but nobody tried to stop it. THIS SAVING £500,000 AND AT THE SAME TIME PAYING THE SAME TO JUST 6 PEOPLE WHICH I FEEL IS IMMORAL. A full Unitary of sharing services they will not go for that would save us £Millions, but favourable election wins in the future by running two councils together electorally is acceptable, so who are they thinking about here then?
The issues here in Bromsgrove that we have to put up with are all Tory council made from either county or district and this is my point, Ms Kirkbride never ever pulls them up. Her last and only retort when the bin system was introduced and went very, very wrong was, 'no one likes new things, we just have to get used to them'..thanks Julie and look at what we have gone through since and we are still not at the end of it when we are now about to have the whole system rearranged yet again..and Julie says nothing!
Last year the council tax payer paid over £300,000 for car repairs whereby cars had dropped into pot holes or clean went straight off the road into ditches and due to pot holes, anything said from Julie, NO!
In September last year the floods of water through the villages were devastating for many a family, all down to no maintenance I was told, anything said from Julie, Nothing!
No, it's not about her claims for cameras, beds, curtains etc, it's about representing the community she said she would represent and plainly has not for she puts her party political hat on first and ignores us the electorate. Another issue ignored is Landfill I can get no sense when we could be burning our refuse and making electricity from it-we send lorry loads of refuse every day by road to Coventry for burning and anyone say anything about carbon footprints here…No Julie you plain do not!..here in Romsley we now have five sites full of landfill refuse with methane and leaching chemicals into underground streams, rats are everywhere, only horses graze where the site has already been monitored for toxicity, the land is treated like a radio active grave.
So folks, this reply is not on what JK has taken through her many expense claims, it's about how she represented us all and just a few issues I have quickly pointed out above shows she has fell down abysmally and all due to either not being interested or towing the party line…..an Independent has no leader, he/she works for the people direct, makes a decision almost immediately, you have to ask yourselves, do you want to continue in the vein we are in or get this sleaze behind us and it's prevalent throughout the local councils with one account we all know about and that is starting right from the top with Councillor George Lord claiming for taxi fares back and forth to the council from his home. He works like the same as the rest of us and we use a train, bus, car, he says it's his position and he does it, so he claims it and is paid it, just like JK did, they put the requisition in and it gets paid automatically, well for JK it's abruptly stopped and it has to go far deeper than this, these people are servants of the people and not aristocrats from the 17th century.
