A NUMBER of members from Bromsgrove and Redditch AC were in action at the Bupa Great Run in Birmingham. Dozens of tackled the 13.1 mile long course with a handful finishing es inside the rop 100.

Twenty thousand runners had taken part in the event on Sunday, which saw Uganda’s Thomas Ayeko winning the elite men in one hour, two minutes and 32 seconds.

Bromsgrove and Redditch AC members Joe Smith (71st), Ashley Moss (72nd) and Darren Hale (76th) all secured places inside the top 100.
