DROITWICH bounced back after two successive defeats to see off Old Leamingtonians 16-15 in the Midlands Division Two West (South).
Leamingtonians earned a three point lead after two minutes but good play from Sam Davenport and Dan Wilkinson allowed Bobby Scott-Walker the chance to add two penalties of his own in reply.
Fine turnover play in midfield by Luke Topping allowed Nick Godfrey to attack the opposing line and gain valuable metres, before good play from centres Ed Wormington and Gregor McLeod created an overlap for Sean Porker to score in the corner. Scott-Walker then added the extras.
Scott-Walker added another penalty as Spa streaked into a 16-3 lead by the break.
But they started the second half horrifically and conceded an early try to allow the home side back in with a chance.
A converted score by Leamingtonians ensured a tense end to the game.
