BARNT Green are set to welcome back a host of players for Saturday's Birmingham League Premier clash at Berkswell.

An understrength Cherry Hill Road side suffered a ten wicket defeat at the hands of table-topping Kidderminster Victoria.

But they are set to will welcome back in-form Warwickshire spinner Josh Poysden as well as Ed Pollock, Daryl Williams and Simon Jackson.

Matt Lamb is a about after sustaining a hamstring injury two weeks ago.

Poysden looks set to step up as captain upon his return as regular skipper Andy Sutton is set to be out for up two months after badly breaking his thumb when playing Kidderminster in the National Knockout Cup two weeks ago.

In the absence of Poysden, who was on recalled by his county, bowler Luke Radford took charge of a team containing several players from the seconds and thirds.

Unfortunately, they were no match for KVCC, who won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Green were dismissed for 154, with Oliver Butts top scoring with 32 runs, as KVCC's old stagers Jonathan Wright and Gareth Williams took three wickets each.

Kidderminster's opening batsmen Matthhew Pardoe (36no) and Andrew Kimberlin (102no) guided the hosts to an impressive 156 in 22 overs.

Stand-in skipper Radford said: "This was always going to be a very difficult game.

"We were missing a lot of first team regulars and had a few lads from the seconds and thirds and there was no point putting pressure on then.

"I told the lads to go and enjoy themselves but it was always going to be difficult against a good side which is full of conditioning and has some experienced players.

"We've got a tough game at Berkswell but hopefully we'll have some of the guys we were missing back."
