THE last 12 months have seen some superb achievements by Bromsgrove and Droitwich residents and to celebrate that success The Advertiser is beginning its search for the Sports Personality of the Year.
We want our readers to nominate individuals who have hit the heights in 2015.
It can be someone who has excelled at their chosen sport at any level, or an unsung hero. It could be a sports person who has made their mark at national or international levels, or someone who has represented the district in their chosen sport.
The area has enjoyed some fantastic sporting success and this is a chance for the public to show their appreciation.
Last year, Catshill judo star Clive Biggs won the title after earning the most votes in our ballot.
Nominees must represent Bromsgrove and Droitwich or be a member of a local club.
The deadline is midnight Friday, December 18.
The winners will be decided by an internet vote over Christmas and January on our website.
E-mail nominations with a name, contact number and what they have achieved over the last year to Peter McKinney at sportshounds@midlands.newsquest.co.uk Alternatively, post them to St John’s House, St John’s Road, Stourbridge, DY8 1EH. Twitter users can name their choice by sending a tweet to @ PeteMc78 A shortlist for each category will be published next month.
