BROMSGROVE Sporting manager Paul Smith hailed his team's dominant display in yesterday's 4-2 win over title rivals Coventry United.

The Rouslers opened a four point lead at the top of the Midlands Division One after defeating the main rivals for automatic promotion.

Smith said: "I think 4-2 flattered them to some extent, I thought we were much the better side.

"We dominated in every sort of area, they have had a penalty which was dubious and we've had a stonewall penalty when Brain was pulled back which should have been given, so all-in-all a very pleasing performance.

"I am chuffed to bits we did it in front of a record crowd."
