Bromsgrove Sporting capped off their pre-season campaign with a 2-1 win over Macclesfield writes Max Banner.

Kane Drummond fired the visitors into a 38 minute lead before Sporting player-manager Mike McGrath brought Bromsgrove level two minutes later.

The winner came just after the hour mark, as Conor Tee brilliantly fired home a free-kick from distance.

The early exchanges were dominated by Macclesfield, with Drummond, Sam Grimshaw and James Berry all having opportunities to break the deadlock.

Drummond's goal came after he beat a couple of defenders with some fine skill before hitting the bottom corner with a well-taken strike from close range.

However, the lead was short lived, as McGrath concluded an exchange of penalty box pinball with a fiercely struck effort into the net.

Midfielder Keanu Cooper almost put Sporting in the lead shortly after, but his effort one-on-one with keeper Max Johnstone was poorly hit wide.

Macclesfield's Tom Peers saw a shot from saved by Ollie Taylor at his near post before Tee scored in the 61st minute; his incredible free kick from the best part of 25 yards sailed majestically into the goal.

The 68th minute saw Sporting's Prince Henry and Macclesfield's Paul Dawson both sent off after an altercation; Henry received a straight red and Dawson a second yellow.

Leon Armasalam almost levelled it up in the final moments, but his free kick from 20 yards could only find the post.
