OFF target Fairfield Villa had to settle for a goalless draw following their opening Midland League Two game of the season at Earlswood Town.
Villa spokesman Paul Oakes insisted: "We dominated the game from start to finish but just couldn't score.
"Had we won 5-0, Earlswood wouldn't have cause to complain.
"We created so many chances, but couldn't convert and then got more frustrated as the game went on.
"Dean Wilkes and DJ Pitt both hit the post while Earlswood's goalkeeper had one of those days where he got in the way of everything.
"It is a concern that we couldn't finish and it's an area where we need to improve. Although we came away with a draw, it felt like a loss."
Villa entertain Smithswood Firs this Saturday.
