MORE than 3,000 people attended this year's Bromsgrove Beer and Cider Festival, which recognised the historic event of Neil Armstrong setting foot on the moon in July 1969.
The festival, which saw 3,250 pints of cider and perry and 9,424 pints of beer consumed, officially kicked of on Friday and took place over the weekend.
144 beers plus more than 60 ciders and perries were available at the festival, which was at Bromsgrove Rugby Club in Finstall.
The festival charity this year is Severn Freewheelers which provide a lifesaving service to the NHS by transporting urgently needed blood and medical requirements by motorcycle.
£852.34 worth of unused tokens were donated to the charity.

A spokesman from the festival said it the best ever.
"We have had lots of positive feedback from customers and all the feedback back forms rated us four or five out of five," they said.
With the lunar landing theme and logo, Bromsgrove Astronomical Society were on site providing star and moon-gazing information and advice.
